FAQs

  1. How do I schedule a session?  To subscribe to my occasional flash sheet designs, please sign up to my newsletter. I occasionally release themed flash sheets aka designs I would love to tattoo. First come, first served for the designs. But if there is something spectacular you have in mind, please send a message my way too! Inspire me! I would love to hear your stories. ♥️✨ I would rather not tattoo something you usually see online--let's work on something original for you. I specialize in watercolor and illustrative tattoos, so this should be a guide to see if your design is something I am keen to doing. Please email me at wiji.lacsamana[at]gmail.com.  I may not be able to respond to inquiries immediately, please bear with me. In your email, please include:
    • the tattoo design from the flash sheet or your fun, hopefully unique tattoo concept
    • placement or where you want your tattoo to be placed
    • size, in inches--the flash sheet I will release will come with a suggested size for it, but please let me know if you want it in another size. It is important for me to know in inches. For example, a "medium-sized" tattoo may look different for me, a very small person, and for a 6 footer and so on and so forth. Please measure the area you will be tattooed on.
    • date and time of appointment -- I only tattoo either 10 am or 1 pm. Best to plan a schedule a month or two in advance.
  2. How much will the tattoo cost? It depends on your tattoo design, size (in inches) and placement. It is very important that you include those three things in your initial email to me.
  3. I already signed up for the newsletter, why am I not getting an email of the flash sheet? The newsletters containing the flash sheet are sent out sporadically and will only be seen as soon as I send it out, in real time. As such, you will not be able to see past emails if you just signed up, only future newsletters. :) Again, you will only receive the newsletter when I send out one. If you haven't gotten anything yet despite signing up, then it means I haven't found the time to send out one yet.
  4. Can I bring friends/family during the session? I recommend bringing only one person to the session, if you must.  The studio is a home studio.  So for comfort and security purposes, and also because I want to focus on just tattooing you, the client and not other guests, please limit your entourage to 1 person. Also, kindly advise your companion to sit still during the session--please no going outside to smoke, take calls during the session (you may take it inside the studio though!), needing to go out of the premises--that will require me to lead you in and out of the studio instead of focusing on tattooing. Like I said this is also a home studio, so I won't be comfortable just letting people in and out of the house by themselves. I hope you understand. So I guess this: if you must bring someone, bring someone who is great at staying put the entire session! :D
  5.  Can I bring my kid/nephew/niece/baby cousin/basically anyone below 12 years of age with me? I'd rather you didn't--children get bored during the session and will, of course, want to play, and tattoo studios are not the best places for children. I work with needles, and so this isn't the safest of places for children.
  6. How do I reserve a session? For flash sheet subscribers, after you call dibs on the design, we should be able to find a schedule that works for both of us. For other inquiries, everything should be discussed via email. Due to previous experiences with past abrupt cancellations though, I now require a deposit to reserve the date (non-refundable), details of which I shall discuss via email.
  7. Can I be late for our session? It would be much more awesome if you were on time! I really really appreciate clients who are able to come on time. Makes for a happier tattoo session. However, given our traffic conditions (truth is, traffic isn't such an excuse anymore), I provide a 15 minute allowance for tardiness. After that we will have to reschedule. I hope you understand!  I am a full time mom with no helper so I have to keep schedules on the dot.
  8. Can you make a custom design for me? I would love to. In fact, most of the tattoos I make are customized.
  9. Can I get the same tattoo you did on a client before? No, sorry. I try to respect all my clients' designs (and I usually customize designs for clients), and that would really suck if somebody else just copied those on their bodies. As a client, you can expect the same kind of love and respect from me, too
  10. Can I get the exact same tattoo already made by another tattoo artist? Or copy something I saw on Pinterest/Instagram, etc.? I'd love it better if we did something original for you, and not steal from other artists and other clients! So let's just do that? You may show me images of tattoos from other artists you love and let's get inspired by that and create a whole new one just for you. And so to be very clear: I am doing tje flash sheet system to eliminate requests to copy other tattoos. Also to excite me, also to excite you!
  11. Can you do a tribal/oriental/portrait/3D/realistic piece on me? I'd like to master those at some point, but at the moment I really, really, really enjoy doing watercolor, botanical and illustrative tattoos and would like to continue doing just these kinds of tattoos. I'd be glad to refer you to someone who specializes in the other styles mentioned though! I'm sure they will justify those artworks more than I will.
  12. Can you make couple tattoos? I have to be honest: I'd rather not. On rare occasions, I do though, if the design is something that inspires me! But, please, no names! No matching tattoos unless you are related by blood. I like doing friendship tattoos though!
  13. I just came back from the beach/ I am going to the beach soon, can I get tattooed? Best to tattoo your skin in its normal state, not post-beach (i.e., you are sunburnt or much more tan than you normally are). Also, you can't go to the beach or swim in chlorinated water 2-3 weeks after a tattoo.
  14. I just gave birth/currently breastfeeding/currently pregnant, can I get tattooed? I suggest that you wait a year after you have given birth before getting tattooed. Give your body a chance to fully recuperate. If you are pregnant, I can't tattoo you though!
  15. Will it hurt? Yes, but the level of pain is really dependent on your personal pain threshold and placement. But I'll be gentle! :)
  16. What should I do the day before and the day of the session? Best if you get a good night's rest and eat a good meal before our tattoo session. You have to be in good condition. It would also be great if you send me a message, re-confirming that you'll be showing up for the set schedule. During the day of the schedule, please please please be on time! I only give a 15 minute allowance, and after that we will have to reschedule.
  17. What should I do after the session? After our session, I will wrap your tattoo and that wrap may be taken out after 2-24 hours. If you are going home straight after our session, you may remove it after 2 hours. If you have places to be after, I suggest keeping the wrap on and remove when you get home. When you do remove it, gently wash away excess blood and ink with lukewarm water and unscented, mild soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a thin layer of tattoo ointment or unscented, mild lotion. Do this twice a day for the next two weeks. When it scabs, it will be very itchy, so please don't scratch or pick on it. Enjoy your new tattoo! :)
